Tim is probably best known as the quirky news man from ITV's 'The West Country Tonight. To others he is the lunatic who interviews celebrities, Daleks and Stormtroopers on 'The Circuit'; but to many he will always be remembered for his hysterically funny car features in 'The Fast Lane'.
Tim's notable works also include his race around glamorous film locations for 'The Spy Guide' on Motors TV.
The themed challenge was set against a very tight deadline and saw Tim bending every rule in the book to beat the clock in amazing spy vehicles. As a major James Bond fan and the proud owner of several classic cars, including a white Lotus Esprit Turbo, the guide played perfectly to two of his biggest obsessions.
After moving to London from his home in Worcestershire in the mid 1990's, Tim started his on-screen career with the cable station L!VE TV. It wasn’t long before he was picked up to join the team masterminding the station's first regional affiliate in Birmingham. He then helped to shape the new station's output.
From 1995 to 1998 Tim reported major national and regional news stories for the broadcaster.
A major part of his role was covering celebrity interviews. He also fronted 'Bizarre Birmingham', a ghost hunt show with Midland Psychic Philip Solomon and presented a range of fun features for Birmingham L!VE's main evening programme. These covered subjects ranging from snakes to celebrity cooking.
He was instrumental in setting up 'Drive L!VE', the station's motoring programme and later became the strands Assistant Producer.
This period saw the birth of his wacky style and Tim presented many zany reports.
Drive L!VE tests included:
'how many girls does it take to fill your boot', '10 everyday uses for a ski hatch', 'the perfect pulling machine – featuring the Batmobile', 'there's a gay talking car in my basement' and the essential guide...
'What to do when your car gets possessed by the Devil' - It could happen to YOU!!!
